  Beware the crazy scheme to pay a €10 deposit for a towel (ok), but only refund you in limited hours. No warning of this when you get a towel. This left unnecessary bad check-out experience (at a reasonable 8am). Incredibly, without us asking or expecting anything, Jana called us hours after checking-out to say she had fixed this by getting the refund and sending us the money by PayPal! Wow! We had thought she was excellent anyway, this is incredible customer service attitude.

  It's a well-run place - seemingly excellent for families (even toddlers) and elderly Germans. Super clean, good all-inclusive buffet, ok gym, several swimming pools etc.

  Cons: it's a pretty characterless resort, the town isn't nearly as quaint as many others nearby, the amazing beaches in the area are all several mins drive away (a car is essential), loads of smoking (ok it's Spain!) While everyone was friendly, it is not a place for singles (unless you want solitude) or young / trendy or gay markets.

  Jana at reception was standout impressive. Obviously highly competent, extensive local knowledge on beaches and quality restaurants, highly relevant advice to us, professional, good English... seek out her advice. (The older guy occasionally on reception is friendly, but hilariously ineffectual.)
